We had lunch at an udon restaurant we entered without prior information. As a result, it was a very cost-effective and satisfying lunch. After lunch, I visited the official website of the restaurant and was convinced. I have to respect their sincere attitude toward udon and Tempura. The atmosphere in the restaurant is also very nice. It looks like a traditional Japanese house with a Japanese tone. It also has a somewhat modern look, so you can relax and sip your udon. The udon menu includes standard items such as "kake" and "kama-age," as well as a lineup of "yukai na menyas" (meaning "open noodles" in Japanese). I'm interested in the "No Rabo Udon" with so many ingredients you can't even see the udon. There is also "Curry Udon" which uses homemade curry. [The performance of the udon is good. The thickness is kept to give you a sense of fullness, and the firmness is easily penetrated through to the end of the noodle. It is pleasant to bite into it. And the dashi soup. The clear broth does not insist on being excessively thick, but rather is full of grace and rich umami flavor. All in all, it was the Sanuki Udon I had imagined. And for the price of 500 yen, it was a very generous portion. It was a very nice bowl of udon. [Ebi chikuwa-ten (shrimp and chikuwa tempura) @170 yen] The peach color of the cross section. The peach color of the cross section. The rich sweetness. The taste of the shrimp makes you feel the presence of the prawns. The texture of the prawns crumbling into pieces was a comforting dish. [I visited around 13:56 on a weekday for a solo lunch.
