[Visited in early December 2023, archived] I've been aware of this store for over two years and have been thinking about going there someday, but things just didn't work out and I ended up here today. It's true that the timing wasn't right, but more than that, I was flinching at the spiciness of Szechuan Cuisine. On this day, I had something to do in the afternoon, so I left the store after 1:00 p.m., walked west on Surugadai Dokan Street toward Jimbocho, turned left at the Otahime Inari Shrine intersection, and went 30 meters south on Ochanomizu Naka Street to an old building. Since it was after lunch time, there was an empty seat in the middle of the counter, so I took a seat there. Many of our customers probably love spicy food, and many single women are also noticeable. I wasn't able to get any orders, so when I declared it myself, I got a blank reply, probably because I was tired. Unable to share, I ordered a set of fried rice and mapo tofu. I was served a mini salad and egg soup quickly, but I had to pause. A little less than 10 minutes later, the fried rice was served, and another 5 minutes later, the mapo tofu arrived. The salad was a very ordinary vegetable salad and the soup was hot. Mapo tofu has authentic spiciness and is very delicious, but is it too spicy for me? The ultimate dish is fried rice. I was guessing that the ingredients had been stir-fried beforehand and then heated in a wok, but the masakano lentin was slightly warm and dry. (This is just my guess!) The ingredients are frozen mixed vegetables, a small amount of fried chicken and an egg, and even though it's lunch, the quality of the food is that of a chain restaurant's street Chinese food, or worse. It feels a little sloppy. I didn't think it was one of the 2021 100 Famous Stores. When I left the restaurant after eating all of my food, I was sweating profusely and was so happy that it was so cold. I changed to a second towel and handkerchief to wipe my sweat. Well, I guess I'll go finish some errands. Thank you for the meal.
