・Thai green curry with chicken ¥880 tax included *Drink: Iced chai selection An Asian restaurant located just a short walk from JR Kanda Station. It's been about 3 months since I was transferred from the Shinjuku/Takadanobaba area to work in the Kanda area, and I found this place because I missed Vietnamese Cuisine and other Asian food I used to eat when I was in Takadanobaba. My impression is that it might be quite difficult to find a Thai/ Vietnamese Cuisine restaurant in the Kanda area. I haven't heard of any famous shops. There are a lot of Japanese-style meal Izakaya (Japanese-style bar), so it feels a bit rare. So, I visited for lunch. It seemed like they were selling Vietnamese pho, but this time they had green curry. This was quite different from what I had imagined. [Thai green curry with chicken] It uses coconut milk, so it's a green curry that kind of looks like that, but it's different in many ways. First of all, the rice is not Thai rice, but rather soft Japonica rice. It was the kind of rice you would get at a Korean Cuisine restaurant. And the chicken in the green curry. This may have been done in advance, as the batter was probably fried and soaked in the batter, making the batter soft and fluffy. Or maybe it's baked instead of fried. It was a bit surprising since it was different from the roughly cut thigh meat and cooked through. Although it contains bamboo shoots, it does not contain the standard Thai curry eggplant, and instead contains shimeji mushrooms, making the taste quite different from regular Thai curry. It was certainly spicy, but it didn't taste like green chili peppers, and it made me want to find another Thai Cuisine restaurant. Most of the people inside the store are office ladies, and the only customers waiting outside are women. There may be some charm that I don't notice, but I didn't notice it. Thank you for the treat.
