小川町駅と神保町駅の間くらいにある靖国通りから路地を入ってすぐのネパール料理のお店。
ネパールのカレーが気になり入ってみました。
外でメニューを見ていると元気に店内から、どうぞ！！と声を掛けてくださり、
堂々と入店しましたが、１１時台で先客は１組で余裕でした。
色々なメニューがありましたが、
【ダルバート チキン】１２００円
を注文して、驚異の２分程で届き驚きました。
ダルは、豆のかけ汁、バートは米飯という意味だそうで、
主役はダルカレーなのですね。
ダルカレーとチキンカレーが足つきの器に乗って、周りに白米とチキン、ホウレンソウ、大根、ニンジン、トマト、カリフラワーのアチャールがそれぞれ乗っていて
どのように食べても自由だそうです。
ダルカレーは、意外に辛めのスパイスと塩味が付いていて、インドの他のカレーよりも味にメリハリがついたカレーで、
チキンカレーは、チキンやブロッコリーがゴロゴロ入ってやや辛めのスパイスと旨味がついたカレーで、それぞれ白米に良く合い美味しかったです。
付け合わせのチキンは、タンドーリチキンのような味つけですが、今まで食べたタンドーリチキンより遥かにジューシーでスプーンで崩せる程柔らかく、こちらの方が好きかもしれない程美味しかったです。
ほうれん草は、絶妙な味付けが塩味とともにあり、大根、ニンジン、カリフラワーは絶妙なスパイスが効いて、それぞれが素材の旨味を活かした最小限殿味付けになっていて、
それだけで頂いても美味しかったですし、カレーをかけても美味しく頂けました。
何だか、京都のお番菜というか炊いたんのネパール版という印象で、すごく体に優しい食事をした読後感でした。
次は、夜に、お酒とチキンを食べに行きます！！
