(Weekdays) Visited at 11:31, no waiting (2 groups in the store, 5 groups when leaving) - Luro rice set (with dan tai noodles and a small plate) 980 yen <Preface> Today I suddenly wanted to eat rouleau rice. I knew it was something like Taiwanese-style braised rice bowl, but I had never eaten it before, so I was looking for a good restaurant and came across this restaurant, 'Tainan Danzi Noodles.' This is about 5 minutes north of Jimbocho Station, near 'Haowar', which I visited the other day. The shop faces a relatively large road and is on the second floor up a narrow staircase. When you enter, you will be greeted by an old man who is probably the owner of the shop. The courteous customer service makes me feel safe. The interior looks like a Taiwanese food stall! There are things like lanterns on display, and the background music is cheerful. I've never been to Taiwan, but I feel like I've been there lol Well, of course I ordered the rouleau rice set. Apparently it comes with danzi noodles and Small dish. I'll wait for a while. <Actual food> The food was delivered within a few minutes of waiting. Oh! It's pretty big! It's bigger than it looked in the photo. Danzi noodles are like mini size. Small dish was a salad. [Rouleau rice] Let's start with the rouleau rice. I don't know how to eat it, but I mixed it up a bit and took a bite...it was delicious! The braised braised meat is so soft that it melts in your mouth. The overall seasoning is sweet and salty, and the unique flavor of star anise hits your nose. I had the image of it being a braised rice bowl, but I wonder if it's similar to bibimbap, with things like namul and mustard greens on top. Also, apart from the kakuni, there is meat miso, and the seasoning is much richer than I expected. Anyway, the kakuni is really delicious ~ There are no streaky parts or parts where the fat can't be chewed, so it goes smoothly with a spoon. However, it also has cilantro, so if you don't like it, it might be better to leave it out. [Danzi Noodles] Nice to meet you too, Danzi Noodles. The noodles look light and thin, but when you take a bite, you wonder what they taste like... It tastes like you've eaten it somewhere before. As it looks, the seasoning is light and the noodles are similar to rice noodles. Is it something like stir-fried chive bean sprouts Ramen? These noodles can be eaten after drinking alcohol, for breakfast, or even when you are sick. You can also enjoy it like a soup. <Conclusion> Just like that, I was full and finished the meal. There was more than I expected, but the kakuni was so delicious that I didn't have to worry about it. It goes well with the light Danzai noodles, so I recommend ordering it as a set. There are other set menus, so if you want to enjoy the feeling of being at a Taiwanese food stall, please try this one.
