鶏のエキスが染み込んだチキンライスを求めて、本場仕込みの「シンガポール海南鶏飯」でシンガポールチキンライス(ハーフ&ハーフ)を食べてきました！
JR水道橋駅東口を右に出て、白山通りを神保町方向に歩いて5分くらい、三崎町交差点にあります。店舗は吉野家のあるビルの2階にあり、入り口のマーライオンが目印です。
この日、すぐ右隣のセブン-イレブンが大変なことになってました！
お弁当を買う学生の行列が、店内を一周して店の外にまで出来てしまっています(笑)
この日だけのことなのか、はたまた日常なのか、日常だとするとお店の方は相当大変そうですね…
そんな光景を横目に眺めながら吉野家右横の階段を上がります。
店内は4人掛けテーブルが8卓くらい、2人掛けテーブルが8卓くらいあり、隣の席との感覚は狭いですが、道路側の窓が全面張りのためかとても開放感があります。尚、ランチタイムは全面禁煙です。
一回で二度美味しい、ハーフ&ハーフ！
シンガポールチキンライス(ハーフ&ハーフ)(950円)を注文しました。蒸鶏と揚鶏が両方味わえるお得なメニューです。
セット内容は、チキンライス、蒸鶏と揚鶏のハーフ&ハーフ、チキンスープ、つけダレが3種類付いてきます。チキンライスは、チキンスープ、ショウガ、ニンニクで炊きあげたもので、特有の香りはパンダンリーフ(タイ椰子の葉)で香り付けをしているからだそう。そしてつけダレは、写真左から、ダークソーヤソース、チリソース、ネギとショウガのソースになります。
何と言っても盛り付けがとてもキレイです。器と料理の彩りが食欲をそそります〜
蒸鶏はしっとり柔らか、揚鶏はカリッとジューシーで、ご飯がどんどん進みます。
セットでついてくるつけダレの中で、ネギとショウガのソースが個人的には一番相性が良いと感じました！
そして、チキンライス。タイ米は苦手だったんですが、チキンスープで焚き上げたライスは、しっかりと味もついていて鶏肉との相性もバッチリです。いつの間にか、タイ米の苦手意識を克服できていました！
それと、階段脇の棚らしきところにお賽銭的なエリアがあるんですが、一円玉を中心に何百枚と供えられています。何かのお賽銭だと思うのですが、店員さんにも分からない(笑)という不思議な空間です！
次回訪問の際には、その辺をもっと探ってみたいと思わせてくれるお店でした〜
ヘルシーデブ的感想
ヘルシーな蒸鶏とチキンライスの組み合わせはアジア感を満喫できます！
ランチのゴールデンタイム(12時〜13時)はかなり混み合いますが、13時を回る頃から少し席に余裕がでてきますので、13時以降に行かれるのがオススメです！
ごちそうさまでした！
