2023年4月のとある土曜日の18時過ぎに訪ねた。
神保町駅から徒歩3分ほどの場所にあるビールと餃子が楽しめる店「八-HACHI-東京」。
広い店内には先客6名ほど。
テーブル席に1人で座り、まずは「神泡 ペールエール」¥680を注文する。サントリーの東京クラフトの生ビールが味わえるのがこの店の特徴。香りの高い美味しいビールを堪能出来る。
よだれ鶏 ¥800：しっとりと仕上げた鶏肉に辛くてオイリーなタレとパクチーを合わせた一品。辛さがしっかり感じられて程好い食べ応えがあった。ビールのつまみにはちょうど良いよだれ鶏。
生姜餃子 ¥500：酢と胡椒で食べてみるが、モチモチの皮と生姜の風味が心地好い餃子であった。餡のジューシーさもしっかり感じられて実に美味しい焼き餃子。焼き加減も絶妙でちょうど良い餃子。酢と醤油で食べても良い感じ。
黒豚一口餃子 ¥360：皮をカリッと焼き上げた黒豚一口餃子。豚肉の甘みが感じられて美味しい一口サイズの焼き餃子。酢醤油にラー油をプラスして餃子を楽しむ。ペールエールから「神泡 ハーフ＆ハーフ」¥650に切り替えて餃子と共に飲む。黒ビールの風味がほんのり感じられて良い塩梅の生ビール。
スープ水餃子 ¥520：厚みのある皮で包まれた水餃子をスープと野菜と一緒に味わう。鶏のダシが効いたスープの味はイマイチ。もうちょっとコクが欲しい。水餃子自体は餡と皮のバランスが良くて良い味。
サントリーのビールと餃子を楽しめる「八-HACHI-東京」。基本的には大陸系の中華料理店のようではあるが、それなりに居心地よく食事が出来る良い店であった。
