Stir-fried pork and cabbage set meal
This restaurant is famous for its mapo tofu and knife-cut noodle, but on this day, we had the pork and cabbage stir-fried set meal that was on the lunch menu. It looked almost like stir-fried meat and vegetables, but it had a slightly sweet flavor. The amount of vegetables was quite large compared to the meat, so it was healthy, but I was disappointed that the carrots were tough.
油溌刀削麺
中国人の同僚にすすめられるままどんな料理か全く想像もつかない油溌刀削麺を頼みました。
油溌麺はどうやら西安の名物らしく、唐辛子入りの味噌、ピーナッツが乗っている汁なし麺で、ピリ辛の油そばといったところでしょうか。
なかなか美味しかったので、今度は同じ西安名物のビャンビャン麺で食べてみたいものです。

On this day, we had the daily lunch special, ``Spicy stir-fried pork and green onions.'' It's a Chinese-style stir-fry of pork, green onions, wood ear mushrooms, and carrots, but it was quite spicy and went well with the rice. The green onions themselves aren't overcooked, so they're really spicy, and the chili oil gives it a nice flavor...it's something that comes to mind often.
