I went shopping at my usual Marche, so I went to our nearby store for lunch. A staff member is selling bento Bento (boxed lunch) outside. Lately, I've been wondering what it's like to leave Bento (boxed lunch) outside and sell them in this scorching hellish heat, even if it's only for a few hours. When I entered the store, I was guided to a table for four people at the end. The menu that immediately came into view was the cool noodle fair menu. Because of this heat, I don't eat cold food. The regular menu item Reen Stone Pot Mapo Tofu Sword knife-cut noodle (980 yen) comes with a choice of three spiciness levels (normal/extremely spicy/hell spiciness), so I ordered it with hell spiciness. The order went through without any particular restrictions. After a while, it was brought out on a tray. The stone-pot mapo tofu is making a simmering sound like magma. The set includes stone-pot mapo tofu knife-cut noodle, salad, and almond tofu. I don't like it too hot, so I eat the salad first until the mapo tofu has cooled down. The salad has a nice color for a set salad, with greens, mizuna, carrots, and purple cabbage. The dressing is already on. The mapo tofu, which had been making a sizzling noise, has now quieted down, but it still seems to be hot. If you wait too long, knife-cut noodle will stick together, so I poured mapo tofu over knife-cut noodle, loosened the noodles with the mapo tofu, and let them cool before eating. Mapo tofu has less ground meat and more tofu. There wasn't as much chili pepper as I expected. Honestly, when I eat it with knife-cut noodle, it's not that spicy. Spicy level. The sweetness of the sweet soy sauce is stronger than the spiciness. The stone-grilled mapo tofu I had at the nearby [a:13033362, Aki Jimbocho store] had more spices and had a sharper taste. The knife-cut noodle noodles were chewy and delicious. The amount of mapo tofu was more than the amount of noodles, and even after I finished eating the noodles, there was still some mapo tofu left, so I ended up eating it directly. The dessert, almond tofu, has a mango flavor. Too sweet. Because knife-cut noodle were chewy and I ate them slowly due to the heat, my stomach was satisfied. Overall, I think 980 yen is a bit high for this. I think something about 100 yen cheaper is just right. Even when I compared it to other Chinese restaurants in the area, I felt that the lunch menu prices themselves were a bit high. Payment can be made via PayPay. Good luck in the future. Thank you for the meal.
