I want to go in without making a reservation, like before COVID.
Capo Pellicano Capo Pellicano is an Italian home-style restaurant located on the University of Tokyo campus. I stopped by after my appointment today and ordered a pasta set that was only available that day. Some days don't have a special menu, so it's probably best to make a reservation. Today's pasta was mozzarella and eggplant in tomato sauce. It was delicious with basil, plus bread, salad, and drink. It'll be a while before I return to the original Capo Pellicano.
I want this lively restaurant to go back to the pre-COVID era with its many no-reservation menu options.
I made a reservation and went there for lunch after my visit to the University of Tokyo Hospital. It is Italian Cuisine on the 13th floor of the University of Tokyo's Faculty of Medicine Education and Research Building. The menu is: Weekly lunch menu ¥1200 Salad, lasagna, coffee Capo course ¥1500 Appetizer, pasta, dessert, coffee Special course ¥3000 Appetizer, pasta, Meat Dishes, assorted desserts, coffee Reservation required. Limited menu for the day Pasta set ¥1100 Baguette, salad, coffee Sometimes available After reopening after COVID, the menu has become fewer and reservations are now required. It seemed like there were more staff in the hall today. I wish they would go back to the pre-COVID restaurants with no reservations and a large menu. I don't know what kind of pasta or dessert it is unless I ask. The taste is average. It's pretty good. It's rare to find an Italian Cuisine restaurant on campus with a great view of the Skytree ▶︎Capo course ¥1500 Pasta with spinach, eggplant and mozzarella cheese Espresso pudding Ginger ale —-✄———-✄———-✄—- ʟᴜɴᴄʜ: 12:00-14:30 ᴅɪɴɴᴇʀ: reserve only Phone reception hours: 10:00-15:30
Is spaghetti better than lasagna?
Today I had an outpatient appointment at the University of Tokyo Hospital for the ENT department, so I made a reservation with my mother. Weekly lunch menu 1200 yen Salad, lasagna, coffee The appointment ended early, so I made a reservation for 12:30, but when I went early, they showed me to a seat. I wonder if they've increased the number of customers and hired part-time workers? In conclusion... Hmm, the lasagna wasn't that great. The egg was soft and the meat and pasta were good, but I think the spaghetti here is better. Next time I'll reserve the 1500 yen set. Or rather, I'd like to go back to the pre-COVID days when there were a lot of previous menu items! The salad is delicious with French cuisine dressing. There are various drinks to choose from, and I ordered ginger ale.
Finally, I made a reservation and was able to eat the Capo course.
Capo Pellicano is an Italian home-style restaurant located on the Hongo campus of the University of Tokyo that I used to frequent before the coronavirus pandemic. After the closure due to the coronavirus pandemic, the business format has changed. Although it has reopened, it used to only offer one type of plate lunch without a reservation, but now it is almost completely reservation-based. There are few courses that require reservations, and only the following three types. Weekly lunch menu 1,200 yen Salad, lasagna, coffee Capo course 1,500 yen Appetizer, pasta, dessert, coffee Special course 3,000 yen Appetizer, pasta, Meat Dishes, assorted desserts, coffee Today, I made a long-awaited reservation and came to the restaurant. I reserved the capo course. Before that, I went to the University of Tokyo Hospital for a nutrition consultation, and I lost 2 kg from the previous month! I had lost 8 kg since January! I haven't done anything, so I guess my appetite is mental. I feel guilty about eating the course now. Capo Pellicano is located on the 13th floor of the Tetsumon Memorial Hall, Faculty of Medicine Education and Research Building, very close to the University of Tokyo Hospital. I had a reservation for 12 o'clock today. Lunch is short, from 12:00 to 14:30. Enter the Faculty of Medicine Education and Research Building and take the elevator to the 13th floor. The opposite side of Capo Pellicano's restaurant is glass-walled, and counter seats and chairs are available. From this side, you can see Mt. Fuji. Today, there were a few limited-time lunches available without reservations, so customers were lined up. The restaurant opened at 12:00 and we were guided to a table seat. From the counter seat, you can see the Skytree beautifully. There is only one waiter. I heard later that it will take a while to return to the pre-COVID times. But from next week? A few part-time workers will be coming in. I hope Capo Pellicano will return to the lively atmosphere with many pre-COVID menu items and many staff members. Water is in a bottle and placed on each table, and you pour it yourself. First, salad and bread (baguette) came. There was a lot of salad, which was nice. It was well seasoned. When I finished eating, they cleared my plate and brought me pasta. Today's pasta was spaghetti with eggplant and minced meat. It was a little hard-boiled, I think. But it was delicious. And today's dessert was tea pudding. I think it was roasted green tea. There was caramel at the bottom, and it was delicious. There were several types of drinks to choose from, and since I had already had coffee while waiting, I went for ginger ale. There were about 80% of the customers. It seemed like it was hard to serve them alone. They were fully booked for tomorrow, and there was no lunch special for that day. It had been a while since I had been able to relax at this restaurant.
