When it comes to family-style Ramen in Hongo 3-chome, the three that come to mind are Hongo-ya, Matsuda-ya, and Ieka-ya on Hongo-dori. Unfortunately, Matsudaya has closed, so I have to choose between Hongoya and Ieka-ya. Hongoya is often closed on Saturdays, so I went to Ieka-ya. The store has a U-shaped counter. I bought a meal ticket and sat down. There are many different types, but I decided to order the standard Ramen. It hit a few minutes later. First of all, it's rich!!! The firmness of the noodles, the fat, the flavor, everything was too strong even though I ordered it at normal level. Even though rice is free, it's a bit too much. If anything, the rice neutralizes the richness of the soup. I wonder if I'll visit again... Probably not...
