2021年12月のとある土曜日の20時過ぎに訪ねた。
春日駅から徒歩2,3分ほどの場所にある焼鳥店「ふくの鳥 春日店」。
2階建ての店舗の1階部分は5割程度が客で埋まっていた。
カウンター席に1人で座り「ホッピー赤セット」¥583を注文。白、黒だけでなく赤を置いていたので久しぶりに飲んでみた。どことなくコクと甘みが通常のホッピーに比べて少しだけ強い印象。
お通しには里芋を煮たものが提供される。優しい味が嬉しい。
タコぶつ ¥410：一品料理のタコぶつ。王道のつまみだが、可もなく不可もないクオリティ。ホッピーには合う。
レバー ¥154：アッサリとしたタレで焼いてもらったレバー。クセは無く、程好くソフトなレバーを堪能できた。
ナンコツ ¥188：焼鳥メニューにナンコツがあるとつい楽しんでしまう。コリコリとした食感が実に心地好い。少し硬すぎるくらいがちょうど良い。
ねぎま ¥177：オーソドックスなねぎまではある。塩で提供してもらうが、タレでも良かったかもしれない。ネギがもう少しだけ大きいとより美味しいと思う。
鶏皮 ¥165：カリカリに焼かれた鶏皮を塩で味わう。もうちょっとジューシーさと香ばしさは欲しいところだが、食べ応えがあるのは嬉しい。
絶品レバー ¥473：低温調理された鶏レバーをごま油と塩のタレで食べる。滑らかなレバーが良い感じ。絶品と銘打つ理由はなんとなく理解できる一品。
無難に飲み食い出来る「ふくの鳥」。一人飲みをしているお客さんもちらほらいて、使い勝手の良い店であった。
