I had some business to do in Asakusa, so my family and I took a trip to Ueno and went to Ueno's favorite "Edomae" eel restaurant, "Izuei". Around 1pm on Saturday. In the waiting room, there were many families like ours as well as tourists from overseas. I was told that I would have to wait for about an hour, but I was shown around in about 30 minutes. The Japanese style room has a calm atmosphere and allows you to enjoy your meal in a relaxed manner. You could see Shinobazu Pond from the window, and there was a sense of openness. I ordered 3 servings of Unajyu Bamboo and a drink. On this day, I had another appointment, so I decided to have a soft drink. There was also a wine list. Next time I would like to enjoy the marriage of eel and wine. It takes about 15 minutes until the eel comes out. Mr. Nakai's prompt service is refreshing. The eel used is domestic eel from Mikawa Isshiki, Aichi Prefecture, and the sauce is not too sweet, allowing you to enjoy the original taste of the eel. The fluffy texture is also irresistible. If you were looking for eel in Ueno, this was definitely the place to go. Izuei Umekawatei recently appeared in the meeting scene of ``Kinouna ni Ateta.'' I would also like to use the calm atmosphere for dinner with loved ones.
