ジェノベーゼ114皿目。
末広町から5分程度の場所にある、パスタ専門店。
何年も前から、こちらでジェノベーゼを出すのは知っていましたが、
ようやく今回の訪問となりました。
「特別、ジェノベーゼにこだわっているわけでは無さそう…」と勝手に思っていたからです。
しかし、「イタリア原産の、イタリアンクラシコというバジルの品種を使っている」
「無農薬バジルを専用ビニールハウスで栽培してもらっている」
という情報をつかみ、突撃を決心～。

押し戸を開けて入ると、そこはイタリアンと喫茶店の中間といった造作。
お昼前に入店したのですが、あれよあれよという間に満席に。
狭めの店舗内はけっこうギチギチ。
カウンターの端に給仕さんが立ち、店内を見回すというか、監視。
ホスピタリティよりは、美味しいものを提供精神。
■ジェノベーゼ、ランチビールなどを注文
ビールをやっていると10分程度でジェノベーゼ到着。
パスタ種類は乾麺のスパゲッティですが、ただようバジルの香りはなかなか鮮烈。
それではといただいてみれば、
ペストを構成する食材バランスが良いからか、けっこう美味しい。
最初から粉チーズどばどばという荒っぽさはありましたが、
バジルを契約農家に栽培してもらっているという、こだわりも感じました。
ただ店内の雰囲気が、かなりのせわしなさ。
まるでパスタ二郎、と感じたのは私だけ!?
「提供されたら食う以外の行動は不可」
「食ったら即退店感」がにじみ出し、落ち着かないことこの上ない。
気分はもう人間フォアグラー。
