2024年1月9日（火）夕食。
土浦での仕事は順調に終わって、15時26土浦発のときわ72号で16時7分上野着。そう、今日は上野で下りてみた。北関東仕事帰りの上野途中下車を今年はちょっといってみようかと思って（笑）。
しばらく店を検索してから歩き出す。この時間に営業しているいわゆる町中華を見付けた。昭和通りを南下。建て替え中の多慶屋のちょっと先にこの店はあった。
16時34分で先客はなし。大きなお荷物でしたらテーブル席へと言われてそうさせてもらう。こういうことなんですよ（笑）。そのあとお客さんが2組入って来て、僕は席を移る準備をしたが、最終的に移動する必要は生じなかった。
それで僕もちょっと多めに頼まなくてはと思って、半ちゃんラーメン（1100円）に餃子（5ケ）（530円）を付けてもらった。ビールはぎりぎりまで迷ったが、まだ16時45分を過ぎていなかったので頼まなかった（笑）。
ラーメンから出てきた。スープは昔ながらの東京のラーメンのスープかと思いきや、重層的な味わい。壁面に掲示されていた記事によると、豚骨、鶏がら、野菜、魚介出汁を合わせたスープと、3種の醤油による醤油だれを使っているとのこと。柚子も香っていた。何よりも中太の縮れ麺がぷりぷりでおいしかった。
炒飯は、味がしっかりと付いていて、3品の中ではこの炒飯が最も気に入った。餃子はにんにく強めで、焼いた面がぱりぱり、反対側がふにゃふにゃ。そして小皿に辛子と大根おろしが付いてくる。餃子は普通だったが、さっぱりと食べられて良かった。
会計をすると、ちょっとやんちゃっぽいお兄ちゃんに、寒いので気を付けて帰ってくださいと言われる。不意を突かれてごにょごにょとしか返せなかった。やられた。そういう店だった。
これも壁面の記事によると、店主の父親は大島ラーメンの創業者だそうだ。そのチェーンを他者に譲って、2014年に息子を店主にこの店を創業したのだそうだ。なるほど。力のある店なのだな。力だけではなくて心も。
今朝、フランツ・ベッケンバウアーの訃報。ニューヨーク・コスモスで来日した当時が懐かしい。「ペレ！ ベッケンバウアー！ 最強の男たちがやって来る！」。続いてウエールズの1970年代のフルバックのＪ.Ｐ.Ｒ.ウィリアムズの訃報。ＪＰＲはいちばんはあの南アでの乱闘シーン（笑）。夕方になって八代亜紀さんの訃報。去年からのリストがシームレスで続いている感じだ。
能登地震の石川県内の死亡者は202人、安否不明者は102人になったと報道があった。
