亀戸ブランド。くず餅の船橋屋、亀戸餃子、亀戸ホルモン、ホルモン青木、初代吉田、純レバの菜苑など昔から広く東京で名が売れ、中には他エリアに支店を出す人気店もある下町の銘店。
今回は亀戸のホルモン3強のうちの１店「ホルモン青木」の上野店に潜入。
実は上野公園の牡蠣フェスで日本酒と牡蠣各種を食べたあと、本格的に昼食をと向かったのはデリーであった。カシミールカレーを食べたいとランチタイムの上野の町を縦断。「こんなところにホルモン青木」があるのかと通り過ぎ、デリーに着くも店の外まで長蛇の列。
ということで諦め、亀戸の本店にも行ったことのない「青木上野店」に。流石此方も人気店。カウンターのみ空ていて奥側に通される。
焼肉はガスロースター派なので炭火で焼くのは久し振りだが、此方の七輪と炭はすごく優秀。網の真ん中と端とで上手く火加減が調整でき油多めの肉を焼いても全くファイヤーしない。
