I visited after 7pm on a weekday in January 2024. Saikyoku Yakiniku (Grilled meat) Kasumi Ueno Branch is a Yakiniku (Grilled meat) restaurant located about 3 to 4 minutes walk from Keisei Ueno Station. There were about 5 or 6 customers in front of the shop, which was a good size. I told them I had a reservation and the two of us sat down at a table. The furniture is fairly clean. First, we order a draft beer (medium mug) for ¥638 and toast. Moisten your throat with the stimulation of super dry. Chinese cabbage kimchi ¥550: A kimchi with the flavor of powdered chili pepper, yet with a sweetness typical of Yakiniku (Grilled meat) restaurant. A dish that goes well with beer, meat, or rice. Grilled raw liver ¥1,408: Lightly grilled raw liver served with white onions. The liver feels reasonably fresh, but it doesn't reach the level of the highest quality raw liver. The quality is commensurate with the price. It is a good liver that can be eaten deliciously with either salt or sauce. Shibaura skirt steak ¥2,508: I ordered skirt steak, which seems to be the restaurant's recommended menu. The apparently soft-looking skirt steak is served in large chunks. Grilled skirt steak with just the right amount of heat is wonderfully juicy when eaten with the sauce. You can enjoy the tenderness and flavor of the meat that will not disappoint. Cow tongue salt ¥1,320: The quality of the thinly sliced tongue cannot be described as high. I would be satisfied if it felt a little more fresh, but the tongue salt has a frozen taste. I'm happy that there are 6 pieces on the plate, but I'm a little dissatisfied with the taste. Grilled Yukhoe ¥1,408: Enjoy grilled yukhoe on top of green onions and apples mixed with egg yolk. It has the taste of classic yukhoe. I want to enjoy the refreshing taste of green onions and apples. Kamimino ¥1,210: If you come to a Yakiniku (Grilled meat) restaurant, you'll want to order Kamimino. The large minnows have sharp cuts. The grilled minced meat has just the right amount of crunch, allowing you to enjoy the sweetness and flavor of the meat. You'll want to pair the mino with the sauce with the ``Raw Lemon Sour'' ¥605. The combination of the refreshing lemon and the sweetness of the sauce is really good. There was no hospitality in the customer service provided by the young part-time staff, but the meat tasted pretty good, so I was satisfied. The pricing seems good too. "Kasumi" is a place you'll want to visit for its comfort and high-quality service. I don't know if it will survive among the many Yakiniku (Grilled meat) restaurants in Ueno, but I have the impression that it would be okay to use it again if the timing is right.
