A serious Hot pot Hot pot restaurant opened in the Ueno area, a fierce battleground for three-color Hot pot, at Kojogashirarako Powder Hot Pot @ Ueno Hirokoji. The location is on the 9th floor of a building at the Ueno Hirokoji intersection. The inside of the store is decorated with glittering neon lights that really stand out. This Hot pot seems to be a shop that specializes in smells, and on the left side of the three-color Hot pot I ordered was a soup made by boiling rice strips in the stock of snail shellfish, a specialty of Liuzhou in Guangxi province, and on the right side was a coconut soup that originated in Shenzhen. We chose a soup made with durian and chicken stewed in soup, and a classic spicy soup in the center. The rice strips of snail soup were chewy and easy to eat. I ate the durian soup thinking it didn't smell as bad as I expected, but when I got home, my whole body smelled like durian. In any case, the Ueno area has become a serious Chinese battleground, and it seems like the more you differentiate yourself from the maniac local B-class gourmet food that looks good on SNS, the more intense it becomes.
