浅草を代表するとんかつ屋さん。昭和20年、終戦の年に創業。パン粉を使うことで揚げ物を食べた後の胸焼けをしない「胃もたれしない軽やかな味」が特徴。また揚がったとんかつはかまぼこ板にたてかけて油をしっかり切るのもゆたか流。古今亭志ん朝師匠も愛した名店。

このお店には普通のとんかつと特ロースの区別がなく「ロースかつ定食」と「ヒレかつ定食」同じ価格で提供している。脂身や歯応えを感じたい人にはロースかつ、赤身や柔らかいお肉が好きな人にはヒレかつがオススメ。
まず一つずつ職人の手で千切りされたキャベツが甘い。また食感からも鮮度の高さを感じられた。
ヒレかつはサクサクした衣がほろりと崩れ、ぶわっと甘い脂が溢れる。衣の秘密は食パン。国産小麦を含む食パンを挽いた自家製生パン粉を使用しており、胃もたれのしない軽やかなとんかつを実現している。また、群馬県産のやまと豚を中心とした国産豚を低音調理しており、柔らかさはもちろん、歯切れが良い。ヒレかつは衣の中に胡椒が効いているのもよかった。
ごはんもくっきりとした粒立ちで、隅から隅までこだわりを感じました。
