田原町から浅草方面へ歩いていると、道沿いにかき氷の案内を見つけてふらりと脇道へ。そこには、ちょっと怯むほどの一流料亭の門構え。ここで合ってる？と思いましたが、入口にもかき氷の案内が出ていて間違いないと足を踏み入れました。
平日とは言え、おひとり様で来ていい場所なんでしょうか。場違いではないでしょうか。とドキドキしつつ。
そんな心配を他所に、案内してもらったのは、まずは洋風の応接間。床材から照明から置物まで、年季は入ってますがきちんと職人が作った上等な代物であることは明白。いろんなところに目を奪われてしばらく待っていました。
程なく声をかけられて、2階の部屋へ。上等な個室。
床の間には鮮やかな緑が生けられていて爽やか。昔のガラス、襖などの調度品や室内のつくり全てが気になります。
お願いしたのは、かき氷のゆず(ミルク付き)。
美しく削られた氷に、ゆずシロップとミルクを別々にしたものを持ってこられ、少しずつかけて頂きました。
ゆずの味が濃くて、ものすごく好み…。絶品。
税込表示で、更にサービス料10%とのことですが、更にお支払いしてもいいくらいです。
味も、場所も、ホスピタリティも。
連休にどこにも行けないけれど、偶然の出会いでこちらのお店に伺えて、ちょっとした旅気分になりました。
