2011年10月浅草松屋前にオープンしたギャラリーカフェのシノワズリ。佐賀県の有田焼など周辺地域の焼き物を展示販売するギャラリー奥に併設された、和菓子類をいただける小さなイートインスペースだ。
この日は400年近い歴史をもつ長崎県波佐見焼きの「しのぎ」で。透明感を彷彿させる瓶覗の色釉に落ち着きを与えるエッジの模様、そこに添えられたのは3種の和菓子。わずか数十㎝の世界でも観ても飽きない和の共演。
主役はあくまで器。食べ物は手触りや使用感を楽しむための"道具"のようである。
