電車を降りたら2分でレバー
西口を出て徒歩30秒、すぐに注文して１分半でミディアムレアのレバーが舌の上に。
ここは浅草橋、西口やきとん。素通りはできない串天国だ。
店員は元気で気遣いもよく、心地よく立ち飲みできる。アテはほとんど100〜200円、夢のセンベロ店だ。
まずは半生レバとホルスタ。炭火で短時間焼かれたレバはメディアムレアよりレアっぽいレバテキだ。美味い。体中の血液に鉄分が配給され、今日の仕事の疲れを癒す。ホルスタは、見た目はコブクロだが、テッポウか？よくわからないが、ガムのように噛んでいるうちに口の中にエキスが広がる。
趣向を変えて油淋鶏を選択。辛みと酸味がビールを進ませる。やきとんの屋号だが鶏もやっている。
黒豚ハラミは、思ったより強い肉感で脂分も適度だ。
客が次々現れる。みな「フラっと」入ってくる。そしてマスターの体を気遣う言葉がでてくる。店員と客が一体となって「西口やきとん」は形成されている。

久しぶりの西口やきとん。向かいの分店は無くなってますね。本店は今夜も元気に黙々と煙を吐いています。人差し指を立てて入店すれば、こちらへどーぞー！とお姉さんがカウンターへ案内してくれます。大将も元気。厨房も元気。相変わらず活気ある立ち飲み酒場です。
ホワイトボードは今夜の一品たち。手元のメニューは定番の献立。さて今夜は。
● 黒カシラ（塩） ¥149
結構柔らかみのある食感ですね。もっと肉っぽいかと思ったら腸モツっぽい噛み応え。でも味は肉。
● レバー（塩） ¥149
塩でこれならば上等です。美味い。新鮮な証に、刺し穴のところからドリップというかブラッドが滲み出ています。これぞレバー。
● 皿ナンコツ ¥363
これ初めていただきました。以前は無かった気がします。これは今後はマストですね。ホントにナンコツですかこの柔らかいの。これは美味い。
● タンモト ¥220
コリコリっといい歯応え。これも上等です。塩がお似合いです。
● 赤獅子 ¥220
オリジナルですね。ハツ+ししとう＝赤+しし。今日の昼ごはんはカロリーメイ◯だったので本日唯一の野菜がししとうです。ハツは大好物ですが、そこにいいアクセントでししとうがきます。初めていただきましたがアリですよ全然。
チクッと飲んで¥1,600。時間にして30分弱。これでいいのです。
