在宅勤務の昼。
ちょっと前に〈百そば〉へ行ったついでに辺りを巡回していた際に見つけたお店。
焼き鳥屋ながら、昼は同じ屋号でラーメン屋営業。しかもそこに油そばがあるとなれば、素通りできません。
最も、ちょっと奥まったところにある「入りにくい感じ」は、気づいても遠ざかりたくなる剣呑さがあるけれど。
11:30過ぎの開店直後を目指して行ってみれば、先客1組さんがいらっしゃる他、席はまだ空席。
注文は〈油そば〉と〈ちょい飯〉（生卵付）。じっくり茹で上げて出て来る。
パッとした見た目は、大したことのない普通の見た目だが、掘り返してみると角切りチャーシューなどが埋まっている。結構辛めなタレだが、太い縮れ麺とのバランスが見事なうえ、チャーシュー、タマネギなどが細かく切られていてほどよく絡んでくれる。とにかくこの太い麺が食べ応えがあっていい。
先日、両国で味わったものとスタイル・構成要素は似ているが、鶏のダシが利いているのと、より武骨に、パンチがある感じ。ライスについて来た生卵を途中で油そばの味変に使い、最後、ライスを投下して余すところなく食べる。大満足の仕上がりとなった。
食べている間に後からお客さんが来て、満席に。いずれも界隈の勤め人と思われる。知っている人は知っているんだな。
正直を言うと、半分以上ネタ枠的扱いで、全く期待してもいなかったところから、横綱級のものが出て来てしまった。5ヶ店一区切りでやっているので、次が〆となるけれど、これは中々、締め括りが難しいことになってしまった。
