Conveniently located just a minute's walk from the east exit of Asakusabashi Station. With excellent access and a clean and beautiful interior, Yakiniku (Grilled meat) is perfect for a girls' get-toge |
I visited the restaurant just after 11:00 on a weekday in February 2024. The Korean Cuisine restaurant "Hinokuni" is located about a two-minute walk from Asakusabashi Station. There was only one other customer in the not-so-large restaurant. I sat alone at a table and ordered "Yukkejang" for ¥900 after looking at the menu. It was a daily special menu, so it was 30 yen cheaper at ¥870. Side dishes of salad, kimchi, and namul were served immediately. After waiting about three minutes, the hot Yukgaejang and rice arrived. I lightly picked up the salad with sesame dressing before eating the Yukgaejang. The Yukgaejang, which is based on a soup that has a beefy flavor, contains beef, bean sprouts, eggs, green onions, and glass noodles. It does not contain wild vegetables, so it is a little lacking in the flavor of Yukgaejang. That said, it has a pleasant spiciness and flavor, and goes well with rice. To tone down the spiciness of the yukgaejang, try the bean sprout namul, or add kimchi to add a sour taste. Enjoy a salad with plenty of cabbage to go with the yukgaejang. Eat the egg in the yukgaejang when it's just the right temperature. It's delicious when you mix the half-boiled yolk with the vegetables and glass noodles. Dip the rice in the yukgaejang soup and add the ingredients to taste. The best part of yukgaejang is eating it with kimchi. The fun is in thinking about the balance of the yukgaejang and rice, including the side dishes. It's a fairly filling lunch, so I was just satisfied when I finished it. It's filling, but the food is not heavy, mainly vegetables, so it seems surprisingly healthy. Hinokuni is a place where you can eat authentic Korean Cuisine near Asakusabashi Station. There was a convenient restaurant there that was also great value for money.
