2023年5月のとある土曜日の11時過ぎに訪ねた。
日暮里駅から徒歩2分ほどの場所にあるステーションガーデンタワー3階にあるカレーショップ「サムラート キッチン」。
それほど広くない店内には先客なし。
テーブル席に1人で座り、ランチメニューをしばし眺めてから「キーマカレーセット」¥800を「辛口」「ナン」「ラッシー」の組み合わせで注文する。
まずはラッシーがやって来る。ほんのり甘いヨーグルトテイストを楽しむ。
しばらくしてからプレートに乗ったキーマカレー、サラダ、ナンが提供される。オーソドックスなインドカレーの組み合わせ。
酸味のあるフレンチドレッシングがかかったサラダを一口食べてからキーマカレーを味わう。辛口ではあるが、それほど刺激的な辛さではない。まろやかさも感じるキーマカレーは熱々のナンとの相性が抜群に良い。
鶏挽肉の食感を感じながらキーマカレーを楽しむ。口内が辛くなってきたらサラダをつまんでリセットさせる。
大きなナンの香ばしくてモチモチとした生地を楽しみながら、カレーを満喫する。
ナンとライスが食べ放題だが、一枚のナンを食べるとちょうど満足出来るようなボリューム。最後にはラッシーを飲んでカレーランチを〆る。
これと言った特徴があるカレーセットではないが、ナンを美味しく味わえるランチではあった。
日暮里駅近くでカジュアルにインドカレーを楽しむには良い「サムラート キッチン」。今後も利用したいと思う。
