日曜日に国技館に行った後、結局徒歩で錦糸町まで。行こうとしたお店が、ことごとく早めの夏休みで。まあ休むなとも言えないし、うろうろ歩き回って、たどり着いたのがこちらのお店。逆に、こんな業態のお店がよく日曜日に営業してますよね。サラリーマンがメインターゲットだろうに。店構えはチープな感じですが、空調はしっかり効いているので、思ったよりも居心地は良いです。カウンターあり、テーブル席あり。店名のうどんだけでなく、日本酒やつまみも充実しています。とりあえず入ってメニューとにらめっこしても良し、二軒目利用も良し、時間つなぎにちょこっと利用するもよし、という使いやすい感じのお店です。スタッフはおっさんばかりでしたが、キビキビと働いていて、世のサラリーマンのお父さんにも見せたいくらい。職人肌の人だったらどうしようと思っていましたが、終始落ち着いて過ごせました。
とりあえずビールと、居酒屋定番の煮込み、栃尾の油揚げをオーダー。煮込みは無難に美味しいし、油揚げも、まあ無難な感じ。実はお値段に比べてボリュームはしっかり目なので、いろいろ頼むなら大勢で来た方が良いかもしれません。日本酒は半合グラス売りなので、いろいろ楽しめます。もちろん状態も良くて美味しかったです。かき揚げもお願いしてみましたが、まさか２ピース来るとは！いやいや言っても東京だし、出し渋るのかと思いきや、このフトコロの広さ。これが錦糸町か！ここまででかなり腹いっぱいだったのですが、せっかくなのでうどんを食べねばということで、やや創作系のバター釜玉。これも美味しい。うどんなのに、こってりしています。バターのおかげかボリューム感があって、食事としたら、これだけでも十分かもしれません。
これくらいのお値段で、美味しいうどんが食べられたらイイナア。つまみも美味しいし、お酒も安いし。
