Restaurant highlights |
[1 minute walk from Kameido Station] A sake bar in Kameido that takes pride in its Japanese sake and fresh Oyama chicken. There are also many rare sakes selected by sake sommeliers.
Our proud "Oyama Chicken" yakitori, slowly grilled over binchotan charcoal, is an excellent accompaniment to sake. The sake that goes well with it includes "Juyondai", "Jikom", "Densake", "Imi", "Koku |
The back alley between JR Kameido Station and Keiyo Road, this area on the south side of Kameido Station is just as good as the north exit. Toyokichi is one of the shops lined up along the train tracks. Next to the entrance, there are bottles of Juyondai, Jikon, Denshu, Maou, Sato, and others. We visited the shop as a group of three after 6pm on a weekday. The small shop has five counter seats and three tables. Rare sakes and shochus are lined up on the shelves and on the counter. The shop is run by the owner, a sake sommelier, and his wife. We ordered two bottles of [b: bottled beer (600 yen)] and toasted! [b: appetizer (300 yen)] was smoked duck. Among the attractive sakes, we started off with a more subdued [b: Bon-Tsuya Junmai Daiginjo (790 yen)]. [b: Seared mackerel (800 yen)]. We didn't have the courage to order a sake that cost over 1,000 yen. (-_-; For the second drink, I had [b:AKABU Junmai Sake (690 yen)]. I also had [b:8 selection Skewers (1,890 yen)]. It included liver, gizzard, thigh, meatballs, quail eggs, etc. Apparently it uses Daisen chicken from Tottori Prefecture. There were a lot of sakes I wanted to try, but... I feel like if I get carried away and drink too much, I might get in trouble, so... I'll stop here for tonight.
