なんとなく早い時間から酒を飲もうとなったのだが、開いているお店がなくて16時からやっているこちらへ流れ着いた。
カウンターに座ると「酒飲みPASS」というシステムの営業を受ける。初回料金かかるけど3杯くらい飲めばお得だよというやつらしい。ほなそれでとお願いしてビールを注文。
とりあえずの「梅きゅうり」と「牛生ハムユッケ」。チェーン系居酒屋のいいところはメニューが豊富なところで、普段だったら頼まないようなメニューも気軽に注文できる。ジャンクなものが食べたくて「旨辛豚盛」を追加。
カウンターでひとりもそもそとビールを楽しんでいると店内のあちこちで聞こえる鐘の音。串カツ田中はチンチロハイボールを採用しているようだ。
このチンチロ、お客にとっては基本的にデメリットはないので（いっきに2杯分注文させられることはあるが）断る理由は特にないはずなのだが、個人的には嫌いだ。なぜならチンチロをふりたくないから。以前、チンチロを断ったところ店員さんから「この人バカなのかな」という目で見られたことがあって多少トラウマになっていたりもする。
なんだかがっついて飲んでいるみたいで嫌なんです。ひとりだし。普通に飲ませてください。ということでチンチロを避けるべく、プレーンのチューハイを注文したところ、こちらもチンチロの対象だったようでサイコロをふらされてしまった。屈辱である。や、まあ、チンチロがある店に入ってしまった自分が悪いんですよ。
結局大ジョッキでチューハイが出てくることになる。お酒をなくそうとすすみそうな「ガリ〆鯖」という謎メニューを注文。
串焼き各種も出てきた。コロナの影響でソースはテーブルに置かれておらず、毎回交換となっている。こういうところでもコストがかかってくるんだろう。
最後に「焼うどん」をいただいて終了。チンチロのことはありつつもなんだかんだおいしくいただきました。串カツ田中は意外とクオリティが高いことを知った夜だった。
