Exploring Tokyo's gourmet! Edogawa Ward, Shinkoiwa edition A famous roadside Sukiyaki and shabu-shabu shabu restaurant A first visit to the popular restaurant "Japanese Cuisine Kisoji Shinkoiwa branch"! I had some business in Shinkoiwa, so after finishing, I headed there early to prepare my stomach. I suddenly remembered and decided to go there for the first time in a while, so I had lunch in Shinkoiwa. It's a 5-minute walk from the north exit of Koiwa Station along Kuramaebashi-dori in the direction of Koiwa. It's a stately, modern Japanese-style restaurant with a Japanese feel. Founded in 1966, it originated in my hometown, Nagoya. Even in my hometown, you can't go wrong with Sukiyaki and shabu shabu. It's a roadside chain restaurant, but it's a popular restaurant with nationwide branches. When I lived in Setagaya, my family and I would occasionally go to the Himonya branch. The hospitality is good and the quality is unmistakable. A famous roadside Sukiyaki and shabu-shabu shabu restaurant A first visit to the popular restaurant "Japanese Cuisine Kisoji Shinkoiwa branch"! This time, I ordered a Sukiyaki set meal, Wagyu beef loin @ ¥1650. I was thirsty, so I quenched my thirst with some hot tea before waiting for a while. After 10 minutes, Sukiyaki arrived in a simmering round iron pot. On the side was a red miso soup made with Hatcho miso, and some pickled vegetables. There was a generous amount of Wagyu beef loin sukiyaki, with plenty of green onions. There was also onion, and underneath was some thick, perhaps Kishimen noodles? The Wagyu beef loin in the sukiyaki with Sukiyaki was soft and delicious, and extremely delicious. The warishita Sukiyaki was rich and flavorful, with a deep richness, and the Wagyu beef sukiyaki was excellent. I love shirataki, and the thin konnyaku noodles had a great texture and were extremely delicious. The waitresses, dressed in kimonos, were accommodating to the constant stream of customers, and were excellent. You can't go wrong with this for a roadside chain restaurant. A masterpiece from a popular, long-established restaurant originating from Nagoya! Will definitely visit again! Delicious and exquisite
