I've been wanting to eat Ishihara Satomi's curry for about a week, but there is no Sukiya near my office or my home. I've been heading to the Sukiya in Kanda before, but I got sucked into other curry restaurants on the way and couldn't get there. Recently, I got off at Kameido Station to stop by on my way home, but the chicken curry series I was looking for was sold out. So I decided to visit the Sukiya in Shinkoiwa. I arrived at 8:40 p.m. on a weekday, and it was busy with customers waiting for takeaway. I sat at a two-person table in the front and checked the touch panel. The chicken curry series was also sold out at this restaurant. I read an online article that it was so popular that it was in short supply nationwide. Ishihara Satomi is formidable. I had no choice but to order beef curry @ 650 yen. After waiting for 9 minutes, the beef curry arrived. For some reason, there were two cups of cold water. I put pickled ginger on the beef and sprinkled shichimi pepper all over it, and it was ready. The renewed curry has a cardamom scent, a mild taste, and is rather sweet. It is quite tasty. I think it would have been better if you could choose to make it spicier like the old Yokohama curry. The beef is delicious not only as it is, but also as an ingredient in the curry. I will be visiting Sukiya for a while to get the fire chicken curry. If it continues to be out of stock, I will probably just order my favorite gyudon with grated daikon Gyudon (Beef bowl) ponzu sauce. Thank you for the meal.
