Banquet course with all-you-can-drink! 2 minutes walk from the south exit of Shin-Koiwa Station! Regular holiday is Wednesday!
Recommended menus include the A and B sets, which are filled with a whole head of beef, and the thickly sliced tongue and green onion rolls. There are many Korean home-cooked dishes on the site menu. |
Yakiniku (Grilled meat) restaurant located behind Don Quijote at the south exit of Shin-Koiwa Station. The restaurant is located on the second floor of a building, and has five tables for four people and two tables for six people. The owner was Korean, and part-time workers were Chinese. It seems like they use domestic brand beef, and there are signs saying Iwate beef and Yamagata beef. Let's start with the tongue. [b: Special thick-sliced top tongue with salt] (1,200 yen) “Special grade” also has “upper” in it, which one is it? 6 pieces of tongue weigh 120g. Although it was thickly sliced, there were cuts in it and it cooked well. Very juicy with marbling. Even though it was soft, it had the unique texture of tongue and was delicious. [b: Special 3-piece set] (1,880 yen) The 3 items are [b: zabuton], [b: sirloin], and [b: tomosankaku]. Zabuton is a part of lean meat that has a lot of fat. The meat is hardly seasoned, so it is served with rock salt, wasabi soy sauce, Yakiniku (Grilled meat) sauce, and grated ponzu sauce. Sirloin has a strong meaty texture, and if you cut it thickly, you can make it into Steak. I thought the tomosankaku was whitish and full of fat, but when I grilled it, it turned out to be lean meat. In between Yakiniku (Grilled meat), I had [b: Bean sprouts] (350 yen). The flavor of the sesame oil and the crunch of the bean sprouts are nice. For dessert, I had [b: Kinako ice cream] (250 yen). It's like ice cream, or rather, it's like frozen chunks of soybean flour. [b:makgeolli] was served in a kettle. It was quite heavy, probably containing about 1 liter. It's similar to a Calpis sour, and it's easy to drink. The store's name, ``Ilsan'', is the name of a city near Seoul. I was impressed that the quality of the meat was better than I expected. They have a lineup of rare parts, and the prices were reasonable.
