割烹 躍金楼へ。
ー はじまり ー
明治五年銀座大火により、それまで遊郭であった新島原と大富町がひとつとなり誕生した「新富町」に明治六年創業の運びとなりました。
その後は、新富座や花柳界と共に歩み、新富町最後の料亭として歩み続けております。(当店説明より)
ー 由来 ー
〔躍金楼〕(てっきんろう)という名前は、中国・北宋の詩人、范仲淹の『岳陽楼記」の一節、「長煙一空皓千里光 静影沈壁から名付けられました。
光で照らされ輝く波と魚の鱗が金色に躍る様子を、当店から見えた築地の海になぞらえて、活きのいい魚料理を出すお店であれとの思いを託したと伝えられております。(当店説明より)
日本建築の建物は、現在、有形文化財に指定されています。
躍金楼は左右2箇所に入り口があります。
左側は、本格割烹を提供する「割烹 躍金楼」、右側は「スタンド 割烹 躍金楼」と称されています。
この日は八丁堀へ用足しに向かったので、お昼は「スタンド 割烹 躍金楼」な方へ。
昭和な雰囲気の店内は、L字型のカウンター、小上がりあり。
◆刺身、天ぷら定食 (1,900円+税)
刺身、天ぷら5種、小鉢、味噌汁、漬物
ご飯は大盛り無料、2杯目より有料になります。
天ぷらは天つゆで食べるタイプです。
「天丼のタレご用意できます」とスタッフ。
一瞬何を言われたのか理解できなかったのですが、要は、途中から天ぷらをご飯に乗せて天丼して味わうこともできるというご機嫌なサービスでした。
もちろん、そうしてみた次第。
有形文化財の日本建築、年季と趣のある空気感の中で、穏やかな昼食でした。
