築地界隈でなかなか評判の良いインド・ネパールレストラン「スリスティ」。
場所柄、オフィスビルの地下一階にあるのですが・・・中は意外なほど広々。
得意先などを連れてきてもそそうのないほどに洗練された空間です。
メニューはいわゆるインド・ネパール系レストランらしく、北インドのナン＆タンドーリ料理が中心。
インド料理店でナンやタンドーリチキンがないとガッカリするような人も世の中には多いですから、
そういう意味でも外さないラインナップです。
・・・いや、そんなお店でも極力外してみたくなるのが私なのですが。
★ククリビール¥600
こんなの見たことない！と思ったら、日本新登場のネパールビール。
生産は英国で、モンドセレクション金賞受賞だそうです。
ネパールビールには珍しい辛口で、シャープな味わいですね。
・・・余談ですが、モンドセレクションって実は出品数の半分が日本製の食品で、毎年100近くの日本製食品が金賞を受賞しまくっているんです。
かといって日本の食品が世界を圧倒しているのかといえばそうではなく、お金を払って出品するシステムですから、「モンドセレクション受賞」という肩書きがマーケティング上有利になる国からしか出品されないというわけ。
やっぱりブルボンの影響はでかいな。
★マトンヒマンチャリ¥1050
マトンとレーズン、カシューナッツ、マスカットなど各種フルーツが入ったリッチ系カレー。
これもなかなか珍しいですね。
ホットでお願いしたのですが、フルーツをスパイシーに味わうのもなかなか良いものです。
★サフランライス¥350
どうせならフルーツのカレーにカブリナンなど合わせてフルーツフルーツなネタにしようかとも思ったのだけれども、やっぱりライスのほうが良いバランスでいただけるだろうと思い注文。
・・・が、なんとこちらにもレーズンが四粒乗っていました。
今日はとってもフルーティーな日だなあ。
こちらのサフランライス、ベースは日本米ですがしっかりとした炊き加減でした。
確かに評判どおり、なかなか丁寧かつグレードの高い料理を提供してくれるお店。
今回いただいたカレーもモンドセレクションに出品したら多分、金賞取れるでしょうね。
