Opening on February 12th! The lively Korean food stall "Tondaemun Market"
Just a 3-minute walk from Tsukishima Station! Enjoy Korean pork dishes and authentic Korean street food in a lively interior and exterior that is as crowded as a Korean food stall. Our recommendation |
Since my wife had the day off, we visited the Tsukishima branch of Butadaimon Market in Tsukishima for the first time to try Korean Cuisine. It appears to be a chain store located on the 1st floor of a high-rise apartment building on Nakamise Street in Tsukishima Monja Town, but upon further investigation, it appears to be run by a company called Vitality Co., Ltd., which also operates Tori Doki. The inside of the restaurant is not very large, with only two seats at the counter and a table for four people. Even though it's Korean Cuisine, it's counter-only...I thought to myself as I took a seat at the table. The restaurant has an open kitchen, and two women are running the kitchen. If you order a set of samgyeopsal and thinly sliced shoulder loin, a round iron plate will be set on the gas stove at an angle. The iron plate has a small hole for draining oil, and it looks quite authentic. As for the vegetables, you can enjoy unlimited refills of sanchu, green onions, garlic, and green chili peppers. It seems that the perilla and kimchi are only offered once as a set. The meat is usually delicious, and you can eat it by wrapping it in a sandwich with various condiments on top of the meat. I feel like it's healthy because I get a lot of vegetables. I've never had stir-fried garlic and green chili peppers before, but it's pretty good. Let's try it at home too. Lastly, I ordered budae jjigae, which had quite a deep flavor and went well with the rice. The staff's response was good, so I would like to visit again.
