Koto Ward Lunch Wandering Story No. 199 "Traveling to Good Towns, Good People, Good Curry" It's time for the Mobi Curry Wanderings. Koto Ward is Shiohama. This Indian-Nepalese dining restaurant is located along Shiohama Street. As the name suggests, the blue sky ceiling is its charm point. The lunch menu is based on traditional naan curry, but you can choose roti. This is the most notable point right away. They also use basmati for the biryani, so maybe they are surprisingly authentic...? On this day, I selected the daily curry = 850 yen from the simplest one-type curry set (1 curry of your choice + naan or rice or roti + salad + drink). Needless to say, I went with roti. For drinks, I had iced chai. Oh, don't forget to use the Tabelog. This is important. By the way, I couldn't find any information about the contents of the daily curry in the store. When I asked the staff, they said it was "munyamunya chicken". Linguistic communication is a little difficult. Oh well, I'll ask for a 5 out of 5 level of spiciness. Below are the dishes in the order of presentation. Salad. A thick carrot dressing. Fairly spicy, with a sweet and spicy flavor. Iced chai. Comes with Sujata sugar syrup. First of all, there is a strange sourness that hits you in the nose. It's not spicy at all, and it's simply delicious. Munchy chicken. Contains broccoli. I wonder if that's what the munchy flavor is. Not as sweet as butter chicken, but rather mild. It's a little spicier than our usual, despite being called super spicy. I added some spicy masala on the table to get through it. It doesn't go well with the roti, which I'll talk about later... Finally, the roti. Served cut in half. It has a subtle salty flavor and a nice crispness. The ghee smeared on top without being too oily gives it a nice aroma. And you can have as many refills as you want of the main dish. I thought I could only have the roti I selected, but it turns out I could also choose rice. I didn't hesitate to ask. It was very plain Japanese rice. I would have preferred if it had at least been turmeric, but I gave up on the refill after one go, of course, because of the amount of curry. In conclusion. I like roti. Curry is very mild and can't resist adding a little spiciness. I recommend skipping the chai. Surprisingly, more and more customers came into the restaurant. It's rude of me to say that I got a glimpse of just how limited the options are in Shiohama.
