This Izakaya (Japanese-style bar), located on a back street in Monzen-nakacho, was recently featured in TV Tokyo's ``What shall we do about the second house? ~ Tsumami no Hanashi''. The crab is said to be made by someone involved in a crab wholesaler, so the crab is cheap and delicious. I am so happy that the coronavirus restrictions have finally been lifted that I have come this far. Indeed, crab dishes are surprisingly cheap. The prices are unimaginable, such as snow crab sashimi for 790 yen and crab hotpot for 1,990 yen (one serving). On this day, I ordered grilled crab miso shell (890 yen), crab cream Croquette (590 yen), grilled crab (1,590 yen), crab fried rice (890 yen), and draft beer (490 yen). For the grilled crab, there was a snow crab that was large enough to have some meat and was broken into pieces that were easy to eat. Crab cream Croquette is more like crab claws than cream flavor. However, all of the dishes seem to be prepared in advance and are not surprisingly tasty. The best thing that day was the grilled crab miso shell. Even if you make it in advance, it's still a gratin, so it doesn't lose much of its flavor. The fried rice was probably made after receiving the order, but it was a little disappointing. There's enough crab meat in it, and I understand that they're simply adding salt to bring out the flavor of the crab, but...why not use a little more salt? I think just using salt with minerals can improve the taste a lot... Regardless of the taste, at this price, if it were in Shinjuku or Ikebukuro, I'm sure it would be so crowded that you wouldn't be able to get in. However, above all, this is Monzen-nakacho, a sacred place for Japanese-style Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) in the Edo period and a forest area of prestigious seafood Izakaya (Japanese-style bar). No matter how reasonable the crab is, it might be difficult to say "I was impressed!" with this taste...
