Let's all raise a toast to the night view again this year! Enjoy the summer tradition of a Tokyo Bay summer cruise in a yukata!
Tokyo Bay Summer Cruise... a Tokyo Bay summer tradition that marks its 84th year this year!!! During the event period, it departs from Takeshiba Passenger Ship Terminal at 7:15pm every day and tours T |
My ex-boss invited me to go on a summer cruise because she wanted to try it once. If you wear a yukata, you get a 500 yen discount, but I was on my way home from work so I wore office casual. It was summer vacation so there were a lot of students! The boys were also wearing yukata. Some of the girls had hair that looked like they had been to a hairdresser. The plans were: 1. Free [on the boat] Drinks and food are individual. Seats are unreserved. 2. Reserved seats on the boat. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, meals are Bento (boxed lunch) lunches. Alcohol is all-you-can-drink. We went on the plan 2. We had been drinking before the departure and were about to get drunk, but we departed safely. There was an announcement when we were going to pass the Rainbow Bridge, so we went on the boat, but there were quite a lot of people. Everyone was making a lot of noise without masks. We were taking so many photos that we couldn't see the scenery properly, and it was so crazy that we went out once, but we ended up drinking inside again. When we went on reserved for a company event, we could enjoy the beautiful night view at a leisurely pace, but the usual type was impossible because the young people were making a lot of noise. Everyone please be careful because of the coronavirus pandemic.
