浜松町と新橋の間にある蕎麦屋「東島屋」である。
わかりにくいから、場所は地図を参照である。
何回か昼飯どきに通りかかったが、なんとなく外まで客がはみ出している。
夕方は出前に行こうとする店員のオッチャンを見かけることも多い。
気になっていたから、少し遅めの夕飯に寄った。
滑りが良い軽い引き戸を開けて、突撃である。
店内は、４人テーブルが３つと２人テーブルが１つ。
かなりこじんまりした印象の店だが、２階もあるようだ。
字だけのメニューと、写真のオススメメニューがある。
オススメメニューのカレー丼が目に留まったから、「カレー丼お願いします」と頼む。
店員のとても丁寧なオバチャンは「カレー丼はご飯の丼でよいですね。かしこまりました。お待ちください。」と、完璧に正しい日本語で復誦である。
先客は一人、ワシと入れ替わりで帰った。
少し待ってカレー丼がきた。
ついてきた蓮華で喰うが、とっても掘りにくい。
丼は普通盛りだが、御飯がきつく詰まっているから、掘りにくいようだ。
カレールーは、和風の出汁がきいたあんかけ風で、トロミはきつめである。
カレーの具はシンプルで、豚肉と長ネギの青いところが入っている。
長ネギの歯ごたえと青臭ささがアクセントとなり、いい感じである。
お新香が、気に入った。なんと３種盛りで、カブ、キュウリ、ニンジンが２切れづつ綺麗に盛られている。
少し感激である。
味噌汁はワカメとネギである。
白味噌で、鰹の出汁が効いてて、まさに蕎麦屋の味噌汁って感じで、ウマい。
と中で残しそうだったが、頑張って完食である。
ごちそうさま。
支払いのときも、送り出しのときも、丁寧で正しい日本語で対応のオバチャンである。
