A retro Fried Skewers bar! Rock-paper-scissors events and big mugs of highballs make for a fun and lively drinking party!
The origin of the name "Chai Kuro" is "Child Clock." The interior and decor are sprinkled with a playfulness that brings back memories of childhood. The restaurant's famous Fried Skewers are coated wi |
I finally finished work at 11pm on a Friday, and I was so excited that I went with four of my colleagues. The first floor seems to have counter seats, the second floor has table seats, and groups are taken to the second floor. The interior is typical of Izakaya (Japanese-style bar), and it seems like a place where salarymen go, but there were also quite a few groups of women there. We had: Fried Gyoza / Dumpling, chicken nanban, Inca's Awakening Fried Stingray Fin Fried Yokote-style Yakisoba (stir-fried noodles), Fried Rice, Cheese Tamagoyaki, Gin and Meat. If you win rock-paper-scissors, you can get half-price drinks or a large mug. However, the staff are quite good at rock-paper-scissors, so be careful (or maybe I was just weak lol). The menu is mostly orthodox Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) menu, but the taste is quite good, and I thought it was quite cheap around Daimon. It's good value for money and the taste is pretty good, so it seems like a good place to go for a casual drink.
