芝公園での用事の後に、近くに天ぷらの良さそうなお店を発見。天ぷらじゃサク飯利用は難しいかなと思ったら、どうも天丼メインのお店のよう。ダメ元でお店へ行ってみることにしました。天ぷら店というと古びたお店をイメージしていましたのですが、実際にお店へ行ってみるとめちゃめちゃ新しいお店で驚きました。場所柄を考えると、区画整理で優遇された系ですかね？ダメ元でお店に入ってみたら、特に問題なく通してもらえました。お運びの姐さんが３名くらいいて、やけに多い笑。繁盛してそうなお店という印象です。オーダーしたのは、オーソドックスなかき揚げ天丼。後から知りましたが、プラス料金でネタを一品チョイ乗せできるそうで。なにそれやだおもしろい。オーダーした後なので少し悩ましかったのですが、初回ですし、とりあえずかき揚げ天丼単品で試してみることにしました。
かき揚げはやや強めの火入れで、揚げ具合がカリッとしていて美味しいです。天つゆはステレオタイプな東京の天つゆで、個人的には大変好みに合っております。油はこってり目に感じますが、重すぎることはないので、夜の食事にすると満足感があって良いと思います。好みに合い過ぎて、勢いでビールをつけてしまいました。濃いめの味なので、ビールにもよく合います。お通しはゲソのマヨ和えです。シンプルですが、ゲソが柔らかくて美味しいです。
日本語に詳しくない外国人の客が来ていたところをみると、赤い本の威力は凄いですね。チェーン店とは比べるべくもない良い味なので、天丼を好きな方におススメできるお店だと思います。
