The evening of the past day. After finishing today's work at Shiba Daimon, I felt like having a drink alone. Normally, from here you can take the Toei Oedo Line Daimon - Nishi-Shinjuku 5-chome - bus to [a:13093147, Yamamoto-san], or take the Toei Mita Line Shiba Park - Otemachi - Nakano [a:13009190, Ishimatsu-san] The standard route is to go to Yara [a:13047117, Hachikuya], but I thought there was a [a:13001499, Akitaya] in Hamamatsucho... so I decided to head towards Hamamatsucho. When I stretched it out, I found this on the way. At first glance, I wandered into the store, attracted by the impact of the store sign. A friendly female waitress invites me to a table for two. A relatively new store. A functional and clean dining space. Excluding the reserved seats, the restaurant was 80% full, and all of the customers were white-collar men wearing ties, which is typical of the area. Maybe I was lucky to be able to jump in. During the hour or so I was there, several groups of customers were unable to enter the store, and I felt a little bad about it. If you look at the menu, you'll see that the menu focuses on pork, chicken, and beef, all of which will tickle your drinking spirit. After getting some draft beer, I quickly ordered a few items from our famous 500 yen menu. As I was sipping on beer, low-temperature-cooked beef liver sashimi and boiled beef liver sashimi were brought to me along with condiments. As you would expect from a restaurant that focuses on meat, the quality and taste of both items is quite good. I received the standard Kanamiya Hoppy White Set here and added stew. A rare type that contains quail eggs. This tastes like it's ready-made, as expected. I added one medium, drank it all, and had some free time. I was ordering from the basic pouched menu, but when I looked at the menu in the best booklet, I found an array of local sake and nice shochu. There is a wide lineup that even sake freaks can enjoy. The above is a reasonable bill for 3,500 yen including tax and a little change. It's nice and honest to receive a receipt that shows exactly what you received. The overall impression is that it is Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) where you can have a pleasant drink. Above all, we are happy with the cheerful reception and attentive customer service led by the female clerk. I am grateful that even for a single customer like me who drank cheap alcohol, he took the time to see us off properly. But I keep repeating it in places like this, because Donbei is surprisingly simple... Considering the menu structure, it is more suitable for a small number of people than for one person. If possible, it would be easier to drink alone if you could also have a lineup of skewers that cost less than 200 yen. If you're looking for a drink with friends after work, but don't want to go to a bar that's too deep, Just Meat is the place to go.
