知人と魚料理を楽しんだ後、皆の別れて１人でバーへ。
お邪魔したのは「モンド・バー 品川店」さん。場所は、JR品川駅に隣接するアトレ品川の４階です。個人的には数年前にお邪魔したことがあり、今回は久しぶりの訪問となりました。
確かテーブル席は昔の鉄道のシートを模していたと記憶していますが、今夜は１人なのでカウンターに座りました。中には白いシャツにグレーとベストを着たバーテンダーが２人おられ、シェイカーを振るっておられます。
駅から近いので、カウンターからでも品川駅港南口の階段や広場が一望出来ます。夜になっても人通りが多くて静かさとは程遠い街の様子を眺めながら、以下をお願いしました。
♦︎マティーニ
バーに行くと、最近は一杯目はこれです。
バーテンダーが冷蔵庫から冷やした「ビーフィーター」を取り出し、ミキシンググラスに注ぎます。この作り方であれば、確かに水っぽくなりません。
その「マティーニ」は、正統派で少しドライな感じ。ベルモットの緑がほんのりと全体に色を付けていて、ビジュアル的にも綺麗な一杯でした。
♦︎アードベック10年
ここからはいつものシングルモルト。カウンターの前には見事なバックバーがあり、私のちょうど前にはスコッチウイスキーのボトルが並んでいました。
「アードベック10年」は、若いだけにピートが強烈で、つい飲みたくなって注文してしまいます。
♦︎ラガヴーリン16年
これもバックバーで見つけました。最近は16年物は品薄なのですが、ちゃんと揃っています。
私にとっての最高のシングルモルトで、やはり何時飲んでも間違いなく美味しいですね。これが飲めただけでも、このバーに来て正解でした。
「モンド・バー」さんは、本店が確か銀座八丁目にあったのですが、残念ながら閉店され、此処品川店だけになっていました。ただ、最近復活されたと噂を聞いたので、そちらにも行ってみたいと思います。
お勘定は6,000円程度です。
