品川駅前に東京都卸売食肉市場があったとは！市場は非常に入りにくいが、勇気を持って入場して敷地内にある一休食堂を訪問。市場関係者と近場のサラリーマンで賑わっていた。
メニューは、定食や丼物、麺類、一品メニューなど、たくさんがあるが、食肉市場だからやはり肉系にして看板メニューっぽい「煮込定食」880円を注文。付け合わせを海苔か生卵を選べるみたいで生卵を選択した。5分ほどして運ばれてきた。
煮込の皿がが小さい！肉もこんにゃくも数えるほどしかない。肉を一つ食べてみる。よくあるモツではないが、ホルモンに近い部位かな、味が染みて柔らかくて美味い。が、量が少ないのでご飯のおかずとしては進まない。なので、汁ごとご飯にぶっかけて生卵を溶いてかけてがっつり食べた。味噌汁にモツが入っていて、柔らかくて美味かった。さすが食肉市場の肉。ボリューム感が乏しいがまあ味は良かったし、ここでしか食べられないレア感もあったので、これはこれで良しとしよう。
