[2 minutes walk from JR Shinagawa Station] More than 10 kinds of homemade dishes made by mothers are always available. Dinner set meal for 880 yen!
"Welcome home." You'll feel relieved whenever you come. There are always more than 10 kinds of homemade dishes prepared by the mothers. Kappougi's specialty since its establishment is "Beef Tendon Tof |
Visited around 12:30pm on Tuesday, March 23, 2021. The restaurant is a 3-minute walk from Shinagawa Station on all lines, located on the first floor of the NTT Data building that leads from the pedestrian deck at the Shinagawa Konan Exit. Pass by Doutor Coffee and go down the escalator to the left and you will find the restaurant. The cash register is immediately to the left of the entrance, and behind that is the kitchen, with about 8 counter seats in front of it. There are table seats to the right of the entrance. There is also a tatami seating area for 8 people on the left at the back of the store. During lunch time, side dishes are lined up on the counter, and the counter seats were not in use. The entire store is non-smoking, and there is a smoking room for electronic cigarettes behind the escalator. Cigarettes cannot be smoked in this building. Kappogi is a chain restaurant of the Fujio Food System. They also run Tsurumaru Udon and Maido Ookini Cafeterias. The restaurant's data just before I posted my review was 25 reviews and a score of 3.07 points. There were about 8 customers before me and about 10 customers after me. More than 5 people bought Bento (boxed lunch) sold at the store. The restaurant was staffed by 3 female staff members. A feature of this restaurant is that the staff at all branches are older women. There are many franchise stores, but all of the stores are committed to having older women as staff members. Lunchtime is a prepayment system. You pay 860 yen at the cash register to the left of the entrance. From April 1, 2021, it will be mandatory to display prices including tax in Japan. If you display a sign that says "We will collect consumption tax separately," you will be banned from operating. The base price was 780 yen, and 78 yen consumption tax was required, but it seems that they rounded it up to 860 yen. The standard 4-item set meal at this restaurant is to choose one main dish and three Small dish. Rice and miso soup are included. A large serving of rice was available for free. For the main side dish, I chose boiled mackerel instead of fried chicken. Looking at the other customers, fried chicken is popular among young male customers. I would have liked the mackerel to be boiled in miso, but it was boiled in soy sauce. For Small dish, I chose three items: "Boiled hijiki," "Kimpira burdock," and "Macaroni salad." It's a satisfying and filling set meal for young people, but for a man in his mid-50s, it's a bit spicy. There are too many side dishes. It would have been better if there was one small Small dish and pickles. At Shinagawa Konanguchi, lunch is usually around 1,000 yen, so I thought this restaurant was cheap. On March 22, 2021, a new restaurant called "Oshinagawa Chinatown" opened and distributed 200 bento Bento (boxed lunch) for free every day for three days until the 24th. It is expensive compared to the free bento Bento (boxed lunch), but I thought it was cheap. The taste of the food was very ordinary. It's not bad. The bill for that day was 860 yen. Thank you for the meal.
