青物横丁にある居酒屋のランチが有名とのことで訪問です。11時30分の開店時間に到着し、ちょっと入りづらい引き戸をガラガラと開けると、店内はたくさんのお客さんですごい熱気。後で見たら開店時間は11時15分になっていました。
すぐに奥のアクリル板で仕切られたテーブル席に案内され、「今日はカツカレーですけど、ごはんの量はどうしますか」と聞かれるので、思わず「大盛で」と言ってしまいました。大盛無料です。
カツカレー大盛 800円
アクリル板の向こうではす向かいに座っているおじさんが、カツカレーを前にぷかぷかタバコを吸っていました。この辺りは昭和のなごり。換気は悪くないのでそんなに気にならなかったですが。
カツカレー到着。おー、明らかに隣のおじさんの普通盛りよりひと回り大きなお皿に、並々と入ったカレー。でかっ！
サラダと玉子スープも付きます。
カレーをすくって食べてみると、あ、ちょっとピリッとスパイシーなとろみのあるカレー。なかなか美味い。割と食べやすいカレーです。ごはんは、うわっ、カレーの下に山盛りのごはんです。すごい量だな。カレーのルーがたっぷりあるのに負けないくらいの大量のごはん。炊き立て熱々。
カツはきつね色のサクサク衣のとんかつ。5切れカットの150gくらいだけど、厚みがあってなかなか美味い。卓上にソースが置かれているので、カツにソースをかけて白いごはんと頬張りました。これは味変になってうれしい。
カレーの具は玉ネギ、ニンジン、ジャガイモ、豚肉といったところ。ゴロゴロと大きな食べ応えのある野菜。ジャガイモはカレーに入れない派なので、このジャガイモには苦労しました。ちょっとなら食べられるけど、すんごいたくさん入ってた。
福神漬けや、最後はカレーにもソースをかけて、なんとか完食。ごはんは800gくらいかな、カレーと合わせて1㎏って感じ。かなりの量でした。腹パンになりました。ここの大盛は油断しちゃいけませんね。さすがに女性客はゼロ。立派な体格のお客さんが多く、6割は大盛りを注文していました。おなかを空かせてどうぞ、
