1971年創業の純喫茶。外観、内装の意匠、店内で流れる音楽も含め、昭和から愛され続けてきた名店だ。
コーヒー業界では、スタバをはじめとするシアトル系セカンドウェーブの到来、ブルーボトルに代表されるシングルオリジン×浅煎りのサードウェーブ到来により、昔ながらの純喫茶は駆逐されてきた。
そのような荒波をも乗り越え今に残る貴重なお店の一つが珈琲亭ルアンだ。
休日14時来店時、店内は6割ほどの埋まり、待たずに席に着くことができた。
「アイス・カフェ・オーレ(600円)」を注文。
5分少々してパフォーマンス開始。目の前でコーヒーとミルクを高らかに注ぎ上げてくれる。
そこへ好みでシロップを注ぎ、クリームを浮かべて飲む。勢いよく注がれたことでできた泡立ちが良い効果を発揮している。
ここを訪れた様々な著名人や時代の変遷に思いを馳せながら、味や雰囲気を楽しめる。そんなお店だ。
