JR大森駅から東側に徒歩3分くらい。大森ベルポートという複合ビルディング施設の1階で営業するカフェレストランである。上層階はすべてオフィスビルであるからして、平日ランチタイムにはランチのテイクアウト提供もしているようだ。
平日のちょうど昼頃にランチのために訪問。たまたまタイミングのせいか入口あたりが比較的すいており、さっとランチがいただけるだろうという見込みでこちらへ。店頭でちょっとならんで注文＆お会計をし、駅ソバ並みにささっと手際よく提供されるトレーを受け取って、ビル内の吹き抜け空間に向けて開放的に配置されているテーブル席でいただく、という寸法。見たところ、社食並みのスループットで進んでいくようでよくできた運用のよう。
お勧めというカレーランチ（ドリンク付き）をお願いし、トレイを受け取って隅の席でぱくつきます。ちょっとスパイシーで、煮込んでさらっとした系のカレーで、値段の割になかなかおいしい。ライスの分量も平日ランチとしては適当であります。
・・・なのですが、この店、オフィスビル低層階のかなり開けた吹き抜けアトリウムの一角にあって、屋内かつ開放空間が店舗になっている割に、たばこ吸い放題というのにだいぶ驚いた。各テーブルに灰皿が配されており、もちろん壁も天井も何もないのでまわりじゅうに煙が流れていく。あくまで屋内（もちろん吹き抜け空間には屋根があり、道路に出るには自動ドアのエントランスがあります）であるし、おなじ空間のすぐ上階にも別のレストランがはいっているようなので、そちらにも影響あるのではないかなあ。まだ都内にもこんな店があるんですね。ニーズがあるんでしょうねえ・・・。
