夜は定食無しの居酒屋 |
平日のこの日は大森方面に遠征。ランチは以前からBMしていたこちらの洋食屋さんに伺いました。
シニアな店長の小津さんと女将、二人のお姉さんのご家族4人で営む庶民的なお店です。ランチの定食は今どき700〜800円とかなり手頃。ランチタイムは近隣にお勤めの方々でいつも賑わっています。
昼の営業時間ギリギリの13時20分頃に伺いましたが20席ほどの店内はこの時間でもほぼ一杯。どうやらご飯が切れそうで茶碗と丼のうち、茶碗なら大丈夫そうと言うので4人用のテーブルにまずは案内されました。
ランチの定食はハンバーグ、メンチカツ、とんかつ、アジフライ、カキフライなど、肉魚系の洋食が１ダースほど。中からハンバーグに次ぐ2番人気というメンチカツ750円を注文しました。
2〜3分待って厨房に面したカウンター席に移るよう言われました。中の4は調理や盛り付け、皿洗いでてんやわんやの戦場状態。お姉さん達が強い口調で指示を飛ばしているので家族感ミニバトルの様相を呈していますが、常連さんによればこれが常態のようです。ちょっと微笑ましい。
そのバトルを眺めつつ待つこと10分弱でまずご飯と味噌汁、お新香が、やや遅れてメンチカツが届きました。メンチカツは大きめのものが一個で120gくらいありそう。5つにカットされてデミグラスソースが掛けられ、脇には千切りキャベツともやし炒めが添えられています。
メンチカツは揚げたてで豚の肉汁がじゅわっとジューシー。ちょっとシナモンが利いているのが特長で旨い。かなり大きいので食べごたえも十分です。
これで750円はとてもリーズナブル。この人気ぶりも十分に頷けます。この分だと他のメニューも期待できそう。また伺いたいと思います。
