週末のこの日は地元でランチ。京急六郷土手駅前の西に2～3分歩いた所にあるこちらの街の中華屋さんに伺いました。かなり昔 金萬福さんがこちらのあんかけ焼きそばを絶賛したと店頭の貼り紙で見たことがあって、以来気になっていたお店です。
若い人はご存知無いと思いますが、金萬福さんは香港出身の料理人で甲府富士屋ホテルや横浜プリンスでシェフを務めた人物。『モーニング娘。』を輩出したテレビ東京の『浅草ヤング用品店』の『中華大戦争』での周富徳・周富輝兄弟や譚彦彬シェフとの対決はもうかれこれ30年近く前のことです。
そんなことで ずっと気になっていたお店にようやく伺ったのは最近アップされたマイレビュアさんの投稿がきっかけ。そういえばまだ行ってなかったと思って伺ってみました。
13時20分頃お店に着くと、さすがに店頭に件の貼り紙はありません。その代わり『累計8万食突破、六郷名物 海鮮焼きそば』と書かれた立て看板が置かれています。
中に入ってみるとテーブルのみ二十数席の店内に先客3人だけ。女将に指示されて二人用のテーブル席に着きました。注文したのはもちろん海鮮焼きそば950円。
待つこと6～7分で届いた焼きそばは細麺の上にそこそこ具沢山の餡が掛けられています。川崎の竹島製麺のものを蒸しから店内で仕込んだという麺は歯ごたえもあって自分の好み。ただ、ところどころカリッと焼いて欲しいところが、表面だけ黒く焦げてしまっているのが少し残念です。
餡の具材は海老、ホタテ、イカ、白菜、小松菜、ニンジン、キクラゲ、銀杏、うずら卵など。醤油味の餡も割と好みの味でした。
全体的な評価としてはこの界隈の街の中華としては平均点以上。38年間続いた店で8万食突破という数字は一日当たりにすると8～10食というところだと思いますが、東京の都区部最南端のこの場所にしては頑張っている数字に思えます。
