水曜日の夜です。
蒲田です
今夜はウナギを食べちゃお、と何度かお伺いしたことのある名店に辿り着くも、アイヤッ、臨時休業とな。
降りたシャッターの貼り紙を見ると、なるほど、GW中は営業されており、その期間を外した慰労休暇なんですね。
うんうんうん、これは仕方ない。
やむなく辺りをブラ散歩。
昨夜が純和風の居酒屋だったし、日本酒もたんまりポン、とくれば、やはり今夜は洋酒系かな、アハッ。
でもこの辺りは韓国料理か焼肉屋さんが巾を効かせるエリア。ふ〜ん、腰を落ち着けて呑み食いする雰囲気じゃねぇなぁ、なんて悩みつつノテノテ歩いていると、多摩堤通り沿いに、なんだか秘密基地っぽいバーを発見。
外でさっそく食べログると、ふむっ、なんだかつまみも充実してそな雰囲気やねん。
意を決して中に入ります。
時間が早いせいか、最初のお客。カウンターとテーブル席がありますが、これからどんだけ混んでくるか分かんないので、テーブルは避けて、カウンターの真ん中に陣取ります。
バーテン男子は20代前半の若獅子。横にフレンチ・イタリアンで研鑽を積まれた30歳前半の料理人さんが陣取ります。
湿度の高い外をノテノテと歩き回ったラッコ。頭皮には既にラッコ出汁の油膜が薄く張っております。こんな時は、間髪入れずにビールで間違いなし。
スペインのイネディットを所望するも既にヤマ。
仕方なくベルギーの猫のションベンラガーで喉を湿らしつつ、メニューをガン見。
バーテン男子と会話をしていると、メニューには載せていないモルトがございますよ、との御託宣。
これは話が早い。
竹鶴のハイボールで胃を落ち着かせた後は、アイラモルトのボトラーズアイテム、バーテン男子が個人的に購入した京都ウィスキーを二種ほどいただき、気がつけば二時間半の長っ尻。
気の利いたつまみもウンマイ。
ザギンやギロッポンのような艶やかさは無いけれど、ラッコはもう若く無いし、客観的にはまごうことなき還暦爺さんだし、キレッキレの人造人間女子には触手が反応しないし、お酒の中身も変わんないのであれば、要はこの下町空気の方が肌に合うねん。
